2017 has been a whirlwind of an adventure with many smiles, countless tears, bouts of anger and lots of love; all of which have helped shape 2017 to be a fantastic year. Did I achieve my goals for 2017? Most of them.
My favourite moments of 2017 are:
- Graduating university (I’m officially a business and biotechnology graduate! Although I have to wait until May to do the infamous hat toss).
- Travelling to New Zealand with my boyfriend (read about my New Zealand trip here and here)
- Having the opportunity to work with lovely clients for my freelance business.
- Surpassing my sales goal and having happy customers for my Etsy business.
Goodbye 2017, you have been good!
Now that it is January, it is the best time to start reflecting on the past year and planning your goals for the new year. The act of writing down your goals and ticking them off as you achieve them is the perfect way to keep you motivated and stay grounded. I hope that by sharing my goals for 2018 will inspire you to think about your own goals.
I have a tendency to disconnect from people sporadically so I am going
to make it a goal to stay in touch with people, both online and in person.
I plan to stay active on my Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and of course, this blog
so follow me over on my social media channels and let’s keep in touch!
Instead of materialistic possessions, I invest in experiences. Travelling is a great way to broaden
your mind, grow as an individual, and meet new people. In 2018, I am planning to travel to Thailand,
Malaysia, and Singapore as well as a few trips within Australia. Maybe I will even book a spontaneous
adventure. Who knows!
SAVE MORE MONEY
I did a great job saving money in 2017. For 2018, I am going to save even more $$ because
buying your first home and starting a family ain’t cheap. If you want to save more money this year,

GET A FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME JOB
I am a business and biotechnology graduate so I am going to do some job hunting
to see what my options are. My CV is looking schmick (if I say so myself) so hopefully
I can land a job I love! Although, right now I am a social media marketer and content creator
for various clients, blogging and running a small business which I love! I just feel that I should
step my foot into the industry to experience it.
GROW MY BLOG
With my blog launching at the end of November 2017, it has been an amazing experience and I have met so
many supportive people! I am going to work on growing my readership, create more quality content, write an e-Book,
and of course, collaborate with fellow bloggers. If you’re interested in collaborating with me, send me over an email
and we can chat about it!
GROW MY FREELANCING BUSINESS
I am a social media marketer, content creator and small business coach. I have worked with fantastic
clients that I am so grateful to met in 2017. I am aiming to grow my freelancing business by a) adding a
“Work with Me” category on my blog, b) score new clients and c) add more work to my portfolio.
REACH 5000 SALES ON ETSY AND EXPAND MY PRODUCT LINE
My 2017 goal was to reach 3000 sales which I achieved and reached 3250 sales at the end of the year.
I am now aiming to reach 5000 sales as well as expanding my product line to cater for other pets. I’m
also planning to have gift boxes and gifts for animal lovers. I am literally so excited to work on my Etsy business.
It is always a good thing to give back to the community and what more to use your time wisely
for the greater good by volunteering. It also looks fantastic on your CV so win-win!
